Local Sports Fans Cheer!
Ardent netball and basketball players will be keen to practise their skills at the newly upgraded Lilli Pilli Courts in southern Sydney. The Netball Courts Upgrade, recently competed for Sutherland Shire Council, included enlarging and resurfacing the two courts as well as providing line marking to suit a multi-sport system, with one court fitted with netball hoops and the other court with combination basketball and netball hoops.
In addition, a sandstone log retaining wall was installed, drainage improvement works undertaken, construction of new connecting pathways, fencing, and landscaping including turf and planting of native plants completed around the Reserve. This project was jointly funded by the Department of Community and Justice under their Community Building Partnership Program, Lilli Pilli Primary School’s P&C and Sutherland Shire Council.
The transformation of this local sports facility will offer a greater range of activities for the School community to enjoy and is bound to be a drawcard for locals!
