On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Burwood Council was thrilled to celebrate with the grand opening of the brand-new Burwood Park Inclusive Playground!

Nestled in the heart of the popular Burwood recreational precinct, our constructed all-abilities playspace has transformed this cherished local park! The newly designed playground boasts:

• A state-of-the-art playground with a tower slide, swing, tandem flying fox, and an all-abilities carousel
• Softfall surfacing and shaded structures
• A giant outdoor chessboard complete with a custom shelter, which doubles as a performance space, and individual chessboard tables
• Accessible BBQ facilities
• Picnic shelters equipped with tables for group gatherings
• A 24/7 accessible double Exeloo toilet
• An off-leash dog park for furry companions
• Smooth, accessible pathways throughout the park
• Park furniture including seating, bins, water fountain
• Lush landscaping
• Clear wayfinding signage
• Accessible parking spaces

This lively and inclusive space is truly a hub for all ages and abilities, turning it into a welcoming destination for all!
