A Place for Reflection and Connection

Apex Park First Nations Garden, Liverpool
Liverpool City Council

Liverpool City Council and the Gandangara Local Aboriginal Land Council (GLALC) co-designed and recently opened the First Nations Garden at Apex Park we had the pleasure in constructing. This 200m² space is a beautiful addition to the heart of Liverpool, featuring peaceful seating, paved and timber walkways, native plants, and charming timber arbours – all designed to reflect and celebrate Liverpool’s rich cultural identity.

Our team is proud to have contributed to the project with demolition and earthworks, drainage, concrete paving, garden preparation and landscaping including the installation of sandstone, pathways and timber seating. This job follows on from our earlier 2020 Award-Winning project to turn the Park into a new landmark for Liverpool with a new larger playground and upgrade of over 8,300sqm of parkland, incorporating a new memorial plaza and picnic area, open lawn for multi-purpose use with new seating, landscaped gardens and accessible pathway networks.

Deputy Mayor Peter Harle officially opened this incredible garden that will serve as a place of reflection, rest and connection for all who visit. It promises to be a vibrant, healthy, and welcoming space that enriches the community.
