Foreshore Playground Fun!

McIlwaine Park is now open for play!

The new Rhodes foreshore playground flanking the Parramatta River has been designed and constructed to be more fun, safe and accessible, providing exciting play e.lements including a climbing net, a rope tower with a bridge and slide, and a sandstone fort with rubber softfall. The sensory play area with musical instruments enhances the enthusiasm, alongside the refurbishment of the much-loved putt-putt golf course.

Our works further included demolition, earthworks, drainage, creation of a new footpath network to better connect facilities throughout, as well as construction of new playground and installation of amenities block footings. Additionally, alongside Landmark, five new picnic shelters with seating and BBQ facilities were constructed, complemented by sandstone log seating and steps, softscapes, perimeter fencing to improve safety, bollards, drinking fountain and new accessible car parking spaces.
